If you are happiest when digging in the dirt, this embroidery design is for you. Or, perhaps there’s a Happy Gardener on your gift list. Our design would be delightful stitched directly onto the bib of a work apron or coveralls. Or use it as a patch to apply to a tote, duffle or even on an outdoor pillow set.

Available exclusively in our S4H Etsy Shop, our Happy Gardener custom design is a single embroidery file provided in your choice of EIGHT file formats: ART, EXP JEF, JEF+, JPX, PES, VIP, and VP3.

As mentioned above, this design can be stitched as a stand-alone patch as shown here or embroidered directly onto the base fabric or project of your choice.

Bundle the pretty patch with a selection of seed packets and some handy tools for an instant Gardening Gift Basket. We have a great selection of free fabric basket projects at S4H that would be perfect for this idea.

The design finishes at approximately 3½” wide x 4⅛” high, which means it will fit most standard mid-range machine embroidery hoops. We used the Janome RE18 Hoop, which is 5.5” x 7”.

Along with the design in your chosen machine embroidery format, you’ll be able to download a Thread Chart showing sizing, stitch count, and color change order; as well as a full color PDF showing our recommended steps for hooping, stabilizing, and stitching a stand-alone patch. Of course, as mentioned above, you can certainly embroider directly onto your chosen fabric.

Our colorful digitized design, including the Mini Tutorial on Stabilizing + Stitching a Stand-Alone Patch, is just $4.95. If you’ve shopped with us before, you know we have continued to keep the cost of all our Etsy Shop items very affordable, while maintaining the professional, thorough instructions and the gorgeous sample photography S4H is known for throughout the sewing and craft industry. Quality for the win every time!

The designs are delivered as a PDF download that includes all the necessary information for how to access the files. Jump to our Etsy shop for additional details and to purchase.
